Can I give OB Drink to my toddler?
Yes. While the kids are growing, the baobab pulp who is rich in nutrients, brings a large number of vitamins and minerals, as well as the amino acids essential for harmonious growth, filling the deficiencies of modern, low-nutrient food. The pulp is also a good anti-diarrhea and an excellent rehydrator. In a study of 160 infants aged 8 months on average with dysentery disorders, it was as effective as the WHO solution. The tannins (astringents) and mucilages (absorbents) that it contains would be the active ingredients responsible for this effect.

I am diabetic, can I consume OB Drink?

The baobab fruit powder has a low glycemic index, which makes it consumable by people with diabetes. On the other hand, we highly recommend the pulp of Baobab Nature. The bottles are made with real fruits so there's natural sugar. The baobab powder is very rich in fiber: 44 gr per 100 gr of powder, half of which (22 gr per 100 gr) are soluble fibers. Soluble fiber helps to lower blood cholesterol levels, slow down the absorption of glucose in the blood (because they moderate the insulin secretion produced by our pancreas in the presence of too high sugar). Soluble fiber is preferred (more than insoluble fiber) to people with type II diabetes, obesity, and those affected by various cardiovascular diseases.

Whether you are athletic or you have an energy drop, the baobab fruit powder keeps you fit. Active, exam time students or seniors, the baobab fruit gives you a little boost. The pulp is really rich in energy thanks to its vitamin C (6 times more than the orange). It is an excellent complement to keep fit all year round.

How does the baobab help muscle recovery?

Many micronutrients are present in the baobab fruit pulp. Whether in large quantities or in quantities that are less significant (sometimes even small), it is this diversity that contributes to giving the product its status as a "general fitness" food.

A nutritional profile particularly suited for the recovery of 1st level post-training, especially when the sweat losses were important:

  • Of the trace elements first: phosphorus, manganese, zinc, iron ... (0.5mg or 5% of RDA)

  • Of the minerals: sodium, potassium, calcium (60 mg is 10% of RDAs, it is much less than milk)

  • Of vitamin A (carotenoids) which reinforces the antioxidant potential of the product (in addition to flavonoids and other polyphenols ...)

  • Of amino acids (but very low at the usual amounts of consumption)

  • Of linoleic acid (omega 6)

Where does the baobab pulp come from?

We procure our baobab pulp from Senegal. The baobab powder is dehydrated naturally in the fruit on the tree. Once the fruit has fallen, it is parted and the pulp of the fruit is separated from the seeds and sifted into a very fine powder. This powder is raw and unconverted. During this process, none of the nutrients are lost and the powder remains in its natural form, as if you had picked it yourself.

Are your products 100% natural?

The regular baobab pulp is certified by Ecocert Senegal. On the other hand, Baobab-Tek Inc. does not have the right to use the Ecocert certified term since we must acquire Canadian rights. Our bottles are now 100% natural as its made with real fruits..

What is the maximum amount I can consume per day?

According to studies, we can take up to a maximum of 36g to 40g of baobab per day. We advise you to small quantities, 6 to 12g, as your body is not used to this new super fruit. Bottles? Up to 6 bottles a day!

Once opened, the bottle is good how long? And the Bag?

Once opened, the bottle is good for 7 days in the fridge. The nature or flavor bag is good until the expiration date written on the bag (2 years). Please keep in a dry place away from heat and sunlight.
